Mark Synnot
(Head Coach)

Mark is a Silver licensed coach (with Open water extension) and has been involved in sport from an early age. His competitive experiences began with Little Athletics where he held the Under 9 district record for Discus. Speed Skating was his main sport. He competed for Eltham (now Skaterz), a club which has produced many Australian representatives and World championship medallists. He represented Victoria at National championships in this sport. Mark has found the physiological aspect of swimming mirrors that of speed skating with the quest for speed and endurance. He believes that with consistent training at the correct intensity swimmers are capable of more than they think.
Mark has coached National medalists. State, Country and District record holders, along with State and District Champions. He has been the District Head Coach for the interdistrict competition in 2011-14, Assistant Coach for the Victorian team in 2011 & 2014, Assistant Coach for the Swimming Victoria Country development squad in 2011 and 2012. The male Distance-Freestyle stroke coach for the Swimming Victoria 2013 & 14 Gold Talent Squad.  Swimming Victoria Performance squad coach 2015-2017. He has also been a presenter at the Victorian coaches conference and is an accredited Bronze Coaching Course presenter.  Mark is being mentored by former Australian head coach Leigh Nugent.
Robyn Brown

Robyn has been involved in aquatics all her life. Living in Melbourne near the beach and being part of a sporting family meant that it was inevitable that she was involved in aquatics from a young age. She continued this interest though her school years and represented them at State level. After leaving school she ventured into other sports and her life long passion for horses led her to competing at national level events with them. Since moving to Wangaratta and having a family she once again became involved in the Aquatics industry. Over the last twelve years she has worked with children from 6 month olds in Learn to Swim to National Level Swimmers. She is a qualified Swim Instructor and Bronze Level Coach who enjoys seeing swimmers reach their full potential. Robyn is an assitant coach on the 2014 Swimming Victoria Country development squad.
